Phishing is the attempt to obtain sensitive information such as usernames, passwords, and account details by disguising malicious content as trustworthy emails or websites. There are a couple of easy steps you can take to minimize the likelihood of your personal information being compromised.
All enrollment emails from Fleetsmith will come directly from a Fleetsmith admin from your company. An enrollment email is one that asks you to visit the Fleetsmith enrollment portal to enroll your device with Fleetsmith. Here are some things you should know:
- You can (and should) verify that the sender's email address is the same email address you would otherwise use to communicate with the individual whose name is on the email (e.g your IT administrator).
- Fleetsmith will never ask you to send any passwords to any 3rd party.
- The email will include a link to the enrollment portal. The link will be in the following format: [company-name].fleetsmith.com.
If the website URL doesn't match the format above, do not login. Instead, close the window and contact your IT or Security team to report the email as phishing.
