A device check-in is the last time a device has connected with Fleetsmith's servers. A recent check-in is a good indication that your device is being actively managed. However there are instances in which a device won't have a recent check in. For example:
- If a device is powered off or asleep.
- If a device is not connected to the Internet.
If a device hasn't recently checked into the Fleetsmith Admin Console, ensure it's powered on and connected to the Internet. If it is but is not successfully checking in, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll be happy to assist!
There are two spots where you can see the last time a device checked in:
On the Active Devices page...
...or on the Device Details page.
On the Device Details page, hovering over the last check-in will display the exact time and date that a device last checked in:
